Unreal In Unreal we can put our project into a 3D space and make an animation of our project. They have special effects that you can play in the animation. You can put lights, artificial and natural. Figure 1: general We can export a project from Revit to Unreal by using a plugin. In Revit you cavar it under components> export 3D view Figure 2: Revit When you place an object you need to go into content > StarterContent> and f eks. > architectural element if that is what you want to place. In our project we are placing a base. In the models side bar you can choose visual effect and add lights or atmospheric effects. In the details side bar you can adjust things such as the intensity of the light, the light color, source radius etc. You have to make the elements movable as well in the sidebar. Vertical Garden: Renders

Renders  Revit In Revit we used in-place masses. We needed the vertical garden and the kitchen frame with a small kitchenette. To create vertical garden we made several boxes placed on top of each other in a pattern. To make one of these boxes we used in place mass from massing and site in the tools bar. We first created a box, and then a sequence of void inside of it. Then we used voids to make the subtractions for the gaps. We put the box repeatedly in a vertical pattern. For the kitchen frame we used the same technique. Then we added materiality to it. Sine last Revit delivery we changed the dimensions of the kitchen frame and added some extra vertical boxes for the plants that will be used for cooking in the kitchen. Organic Garden

Our organic kitchen is a gathering place for the families and elderly of the community around. It has an outside kitchen with simple functions and a playground/ cafĂ© area to gather. Cooking is a uniform activity that can be the start of a conversation and friendly relations in the neighborhood. The idea is for the community to cook and enjoy their time together. The place will be possible to transform after what time of the day it is to adjust to the group of people that are there. For example in the daytime there will be more kids activities, while in the night it will be a dining area.  The walls separating the area will be a vertical garden where organic food is grown. The furniture have the possibility to transform/ have an other function/ easily be organized in a different way. Figure 1: plot Figure 2 Figure 3 Figure 4 Figure 5

Presentation, book and families

Since I already wrote about presentation sheets in my last blog post I will only write about families and color schemes in this post. Families Figure 1 - reference planes The planes of reference are those that delimit us the drawing and help us to place the different elements of the family. The two planes that define origin form the point of insertion of the family. It is important that the planes of origin be anchored so that they do not move. Reference planes can be dimensioned and parameterized to control the distances between them. The dimensions create parameters to previously decide the distances of the objects linked to the planes. Figure 2 - parameter When designing a family the start point is to create reference planes. These reference planes helps us placing the elements we are going to draw.
