Iranzo house 3D - structure

In a group project with Francisco we have made the structure of Iranzo house in AutoCAD 3D. This includes walls, floors and roof. The different elements are put in different layers. To transform the structure from 2D to 3D we used the command "presspull" to make solid elements from bounded areas. There were no need to use meshes. We used the elevations and sections of the house to find the heights of the different elements. Starting with the ground and the ground floor we worked our way up. To make the slab between the two floors we created a bound around the area that belongs to the first floor and used presspull to make a solid out of it. To make the openings for the windows we first made one wall (above the window) and moved it up, then we made the wall under the window. The structure did not have many complications, but I will explain one later in this text. The practice went well and we were able to manage the 3D version of autocad for this part.

Stairs

One of the difficulties with the task was to make the stairs. The stairs leading up to first floor are sloping over one of the rooms in the house. To solve this we used the 2D section of the house and presspulled the staircase in z-direction to create a solid that we moved to the 3D figure.
