New project computer tools- Joan Sebastian Bach 7 / Coderch and Valls

In comuter tools 2 we have started to learn the software Revit. In this class we will have a year project of constructing the Bach block in the program. 

The building is located in Barcelona and is designed by the architects Corderch and Valls. 

About the building:

The block consist of several apartments, where all of them have an individual access. The lobby is an access porch for vehicles. The living rooms has sliding windows where blinders prevent vision in to the housing from the outside, while the sunlight still is allowed inside. The blinders playes a role for the iconic design of the façade. 
program of the apartments: connection between main lobby, bedrooms and dining room. All the main rooms of the house included the bathrooms are with lightening and ventilation to the outside. There is a fire lace in the living room. 





About the architects:
José Antonio Coderch and Manuel Valls.
José Antonio Coderch was a Spanish architect. In post-war Spain, Coderch emerged as the architect of modernity. 
Two years after finishing his studies, Coderch established his architecture office in Barcelona together with Manuel Valls. In the following years he projected numerous buildings, some of which were already representative of his work as a whole, such as the Ugalde House, and the Apartment Building on Johann Sebastian Bach Street in Barcelona. He received several architecture and design awards and Josep Lluís Sert proposed him as a representative member of Spain at CIAM, the International Congress of Modern Architects.
